Why I Believe in Art Therapy

I became an art therapist because I saw firsthand how powerful creativity can be when words fall short. Over the past 30 years, I’ve worked with children, teens, and adults who felt stuck, overwhelmed, or unheard, and I’ve watched art open doors that talking never could. My passion is helping people discover relief, hope, and strength through a safe and creative process. Every time I see someone walk away feeling lighter or more understood, I’m reminded why I do this work.

FAQs

  • That’s very common at first. Most people relax quickly once they see there’s no “right” or “wrong” way to create here. I’ll guide you gently, and many clients end up finding the art-making surprisingly freeing.
